Dextroamphetamine (Dexedrine, Dextrostat, Dextramphet, etc) is a controlled substance that is only available by non-refillable prescription. Of course, with my condition, the last thing I want to do is take more than a minimal amount of it. I can get as wired as any speed freak just by not taking any medication. My objective is to slow down to a manageable functional level, not artificially make my condition worse.

The DEA aggressively searches for any excuse to claim that someone is abusing this drug, even though it's one of the least harmful of all the "heavy duty" stimulants. It's been in routine military use for almost a century without causing a "drug problem" - or to phrase it more politically correctly, "becoming a problem drug". However, according to the DEA's twisted logic, it's much better for the individual and society as a whole, for speed freaks to be forced to commit violent crimes against innocent citizens in order to get the money to pay prohibition inflated prices for easily obtained adulterated street meth, instead of being allowed to peacefully buy cheap to manufacture pharmaceutical grade Dexedrine at their corner drugstore.

And so the artificial distortions created by the prohibitionists once again directly endanger the lives and wellbeing of those prohibition is claimed to be protecting. Once again, it is prohibition that causes the greatest harm to individual citizens, and not the arbitrary substance being prohibited.

The DEA's grand plan must be working because there certainly isn't any shortage of adulterated street drugs - or drug abusers willing to rob innocent citizens for the money to buy them at prohibition inflated prices - while obtaining legal pharmaceuticals for entirely legitimate medical needs has become a ruinously expensive ordeal for productive citizens. The DEA prohibitionists have certainly done an impressive job of vastly expanding what started out as a minor medical issue into a society threatening sociopolitical disaster. They've done an even more impressive job of expanding their own ranks of violently sociopathic thugs, increasing the wealth they're able to steal from productive citizens through the violent seizure/theft/forfeiture of private property, and granting themselves immunity from accountability for their ever growing list of violent crimes against society.

One of the dirty secrets of marijuana prohibition is that smoking is not the only - or even the best - method of ingesting the cannabinoids that provide the therapeutic benefits of medical marijuana. Not that you'd know it from all the officially sanctioned research that has been carefully limited to only considering "smoked" marijuana. This bias in government controlled research, where the only permitted purpose has been to search for some kind of adverse effect with which to retroactively justify marijuana prohibition, is easy to understand. The contaminants contributed by the burning plant material have been the only source of significant adverse effects that legions of paid searchers have been able to find for their prohibitionist patrons. Leave out the contaminants from the smoke, and the prohibitionists wouldn't even be able to claim marijuana causes "chronic bronchial irritation".

Of course, they'd still be able to administer massive doses to occasional or even first time users, and claim that the results were typical of all use. After all, everyone already knows that sipping a glass of fine wine has the exact same effect on every alcohol consumer as chugging a quart of moonshine whiskey. Oh wait - wasn't that the "truth" fabricated by the alcohol prohibitionists to justify inflicting the tragic disaster of alcohol prohibition on the American public? Good thing government "public" schools have abandoned teaching factual history in favor of politically correct multicultural revisionist propaganda, or this recycled lie wouldn't work again.

The maliciously dishonest prohibitionists would no doubt also still be able to find some sad wreck of a human being, who happened to include marijuana among the substances he abused while screwing up his life, and blame the "less than desirable outcomes" of his flawed life-choices solely and exclusively on having used marijuana. According to billions of dollars of taxpayer funded government propaganda, all of the character defects, chance accidents, mental illness, drug and alcohol abuse, and every other factor known to cause "undesirable outcomes" in the absence of marijuana, suddenly become inactive/inert the moment marijuana is inserted into the equation.

Of course, the most dangerous form of marijuana is the medical marijuana used by patients in the privacy of their own homes. The very concept of medical marijuana - being imposed on the outraged prohibitionists by enlightened citizen initiatives in state after state - directly contradicts the core lies on which the on-going crime against humanity of marijuana prohibition has been falsely justified.

The sovereign use of medical marijuana by free citizens has already demonstrated beyond any reasonable doubt that the prohibitionists have been maliciously lying for over seventy years about the medicinal value and potential harmfulness of cannabis/marijuana. The lives of millions of citizens are currently being substantially improved by medical marijuana - with or without the grudging permission of the medical establishment. The only actual harm that has resulted from the use of medical marijuana has been the continued sadistic persecution of sick and suffering citizen patients by despicable government thugs, in arrogant defiance of the express will of the people. It's the violently sociopathic prohibitionists who pose a clear and present danger to the lives, health, and well-being of peaceful productive citizens who use medical marijuana, not their medication.

The accepted wisdom during nearly all of the more than 6000 years that cannabis has been cultivated as a medicinal herb, was that it did have medicinal value.

How odd that cannabis suddenly lost its long history of proven medicinal value seventy some years ago just when it was deceitfully renamed "marijuana" in a main stream media propaganda campaign advocating the prohibition of a supposed obscure dangerous substance that was "only used by wet-backs and jazz musicians" - as well as the totally fabricated movie monsters depicted in the purposefully dishonest prohibitionist documentary "Reefer Madness".

How disturbing that government agents continue to so aggressively protect and preserve venal lies that have caused so much unnecessary harm to millions of individual citizens, and to the very fabric of our once free society.

How distressing that so many citizens of our once free society fail to appreciate the real costs and accomplishments of what would more accurately be labeled the "War On SOME Drugs And ALL Of Our Rights".
