Social/Political Philosophy

Civilization and Mental Illness

A new book by Dr. Lyle Rossiter is causing a lot of anger among Liberals. The reason for their outrage is pretty clear just from the title: "The Liberal Mind: The Psychological Causes of Political Madness". Dr. Rossiter states that, "Based on strikingly irrational beliefs and emotions, modern liberals relentlessly undermine the most important principles on which our freedoms were founded." He goes on to explain that, "Like spoiled, angry children, they rebel against the normal responsibilities of adulthood and demand that a parental government meet their needs from cradle to grave."

Barbarians Within And Without

Western Industrial Civilization (WIC) is under attack by barbarian hordes.

Multicultural Destruction of America

Multiculturalism is perhaps the most important issue facing America today, but a rational public discussion of the real issue is being aggressively obstructed by the lies and distortions of activists and politicians. Seeking to exploit the issue to benefit their own agendas, the loudest and most aggressive factions trying to stake a claim to the issue, are far more interested in creating confusion and misconceptions than contributing to the public understanding and awareness.

Immigration and Government

Demanding that government solve the "illegal immigrant problem" has become a popular pastime for attention seeking media products and scheming politicians. While such demands are distressingly effective in serving the ulterior motives of the advocates, they have been, and will always be, the worst possible alternative for our free society.

Evolution of Wishful Thinking

Does the world today exist because of random chance, intelligent intervention, or simply the inevitable result of a complex chain of events stretching over billions of years?

Surrogate Criminals

The defining principle of a free society is that an individual's life and property are his own to do with as he pleases, as long as his exercise of his rights doesn't infringe on the rights of others. Infringing on a freeman's ownership of his life and/or property have long been the most basic and obvious forms of crime.

Moral Equivalence and Civilization

A basic principle is being ignored in all the attempts to justify the ongoing crimes against western industrial civilization being committed in the Middle East. A great deal of effort is being expended trying to establish the illusion of moral equivalence between the opposing sides. But in their tortured perversions of logic, these attempts ignore the basic functions and requirements of civilization, and make ending the violence impossible.

Losing Reasonableness

There was a time when it was largely taken for granted that a certain level of reasonable interpretation could be expected within human interactions. A few words or phrases were all that were needed to convey ideas or define the terms of a business deal.

Militia and the Standing Army

"The right of citizens to bear arms is just one more guarantee against arbitrary government, one more safeguard against a tyranny which now appears remote in America, but which historically has proved to be always possible."
Hubert H. Humphrey

Ethics and Natural Law

Our modern lives are full of the gadgets and artificial creations of the mind of man, but there is one artifact of human intelligence that makes all the rest possible - the civilization in which we live. With nearly all of our accumulated knowledge acquired during man's relatively brief period of civilization, we tend to take for granted that civilization has always existed and is somehow an inevitable state for mankind.
